B.Sc in Economics, Finance or a related subject. Technical degrees and/or relevant certifications may be considered.
2+ years of experience trading FX, Commodities, Equities and other CFDs instruments.
Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, trading platforms and macroeconomic trends.
Deep understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, risk management principles, and market analysis techniques.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Trade Execution: Execute trades on a sub-account in line with Head of Trading & Investment’s instructions and in accordance with established strategies and guidelines, ensuring timely and accurate execution across various financial instruments and markets.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, news, and events to provide timely insights to the Head of the Trading Desk to help inform trading decisions.
Monitoring: Actively monitor P&L, position and alerts for new trades to execute.
Trade Support: Provide operational support by handling trade settlements, confirmations, and reconciliation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Data Analysis: Analyze historical and real-time market data to identify patterns, correlations, and opportunities for improvement in trading strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Research, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure seamless trade execution and efficient processes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized trading records, performance metrics, and reports.
Operations: Help manage daily operational processes such as risk, PnL reporting, trading reconciliations and settlements.
Learn: Understand our proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
Others: Further responsibilities may be driven by the individual's interests and specific skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in executing trades and managing data within diverse asset classes, mainly: Equities, FX, and Commodities.
Exemplary data management skills
Competency using Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Diligence, attention to detail and accuracy are critical traits.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Demonstrated experience of working independently and as part of a team.
