Junior Technical Specialist (IBM)
What will you do?
- The candidate hired for this role will be tasked to manage different project and support tasks for IBM Content Manager, IBM Content Manager OnDemand and general support tasks. The candidate will also be responsible for managing capacity, modifications, user access, trouble shooting and general support functions of the various functions and systems.
Output/Core Tasks:
- Configure and support implementation solutions utilizing the IBM Content Management suite of products
- Work with integrated solutions using IBM Content Manager, IBM On Demand, IBM Content Navigator, IBM Records Manager and other related IBM technologies
- Implement / install, upgrade and maintenance of 3rd party packages (IBM)
- Assist with the creation of technical documentation and operating procedures supporting the build-out of client solutions on the IBM platform
- Task estimations & work allocation recommendations
- Execution of disaster recovery processes and tests
- Report on progress of technical tasks
- Maintain, and enhance systems based on business requirements using approved technologies standards
- Production support and standby duty
- Share and transfer knowledge to team colleagues
Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant IT degree or diploma
Additional skills that would be beneficial to your application
- Development and scripting experience
- Relational Database, DB2, MS SQL
- Windows Server and Red Hat Linux skills
- Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies and processes
- Ability to manage problems and liaise with relevant support areas within the greater Sanlam to resolve the problem timeously
- IBM Content Manager or similar content management system
- IBM Content Manager On Demand or similar content management system
