Yesterday, Friday 15th July, 2016, a group of suspected criminals were arrested with AK47 rifles close to GTBank in Calabar, Cross River State.
The criminals were said to have stormed the bank with two (2) purported vehicles around the period of 3-4pm.

But, unfortunate for the robbers, a civilian suspected and signal the Joint Task Force (JTF) personels who swiftly shot the tyres of the vehicles before clamping on the criminals. With that siege, the JTF had to check the two vehicles and notwithstanding, they found AK47 rifles inside the cars.
The criminals were taken away by the JTF as the area was cleared of any criminal activities that yesterday.
