Capcom has been releasing new Street Fighter 6 character themes on a weekly basis as we’ve recently got to hear Manon’s Walk with Grace, Marisa’s Pankration, and Dee Jay’s All Right in full.
This time around we’re getting the original sound track for another brand new franchise addition as we give a listen to JP’s theme: The Plunderer.
We actually know very little about JP, so The Plunderer is an important new piece of the puzzle as we get to know Street Fighter’s newest boss figure.
He most definitely carries himself with a sense of prestige and class, and has plenty of powerful zoning techniques to back it all up. Indeed, anyone hoping to dethrone JP from his high societal perch is going to have a tough time doing so, if the gameplay we’ve seen is any indicator.
The theme is unhurried and powerful, just as the character it represents. About two thirds of the way through the song, it changes quite a bit and kicks into a higher gear (also, did we notice just a touch of Juri’s theme at 2:35?) almost like the secondary part of a boss fight.

Street Fighter 6 is slated for release on June 2, 2023. It will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and arcade.
