Manchester United are battling it out to sign LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David this summer, facing opposition from Premier League rivals.

The Canadian striker has had a brilliant season, with 23 goals and 10 assists in 41 games, and now is looking for his next team.

With his contract up in the summer, David is eligible for free transfer, making him an absolute bargain signing for any club.

As such, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee’s inconsistency in front of goal this season, it’s no surprise that United are monitoring the situation carefully.

However, they aren’t the only ones.

Le 10 Sport has reported that United are up against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur to sign the striker.

It’s also been reported that Borussia Dortmund are also keen, however, the 25-year-old has his heart set on the Premier League.

As such United only have The Gunners and Spurs to rival in the transfer race, with concrete discussions taking place between David’s representatives and the three clubs.

This is a breaking story with more to follow.
