Johnson latest among ‘Trump’ Hill backers to make Manhattan Courthouse trip
Among several Republican Capitol Hill lawmakers who have gone to the courthouse to support Trump, Speaker Johnson is the latest
By
andHouse Speaker Mike Johnson is reportedly going to the New York City courtroom Tuesday where former President Trump is on trial.
Johnson is the latest among several Republican Capitol Hill lawmakers who have gone to the Manhattan courthouse to support Trump in the criminal hush money trial in which he is a defendant.
The Louisiana lawmaker is scheduled to address the media “outside of the ongoing sham prosecution” of Trump, according to an announcement from his office obtained by Just the News.
Johnson is expected to speak about “the political persecution of the 45th President of the United States by President Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice and the left-wing Manhattan district attorney,” the announcement said.
Trump recently came to Johnson’s support when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) tried to oust him from his speakership post.
On Monday, GOP Sens. J.D. Vance, Ohio, and Tommy Tuberville, Alabama, went to the courthouse. Vance is considered a potential vice presidential pick for Trump. Vivek Ramaswamy, also a possible choice as Trump’s running mate, is expected to make an appearance at the courthouse on Tuesday.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
