Manchester United have suffered yet another Premier League defeat, losing 4-1 to Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Ruben Amorim rested some of his stars for the game ahead of their Europa League second leg against Lyon midweek, seeing a huge change to the starting line-up.
Andre Onana, Harry Maguire and Patrick Dorgu were replaced with Altay Bayindir, Victor Lindelof and Harry Amass, whilst Christian Eriksen replaced Casemiro.
Thankfully the game did see Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw return to the pitch after injuries, entering the game off the bench.
Unfortunately, their return wasn’t enough to spur the side on to victory with a Harvey Barnes brace, and goals from Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes outweighing Alejandro Garnacho’s classy finish.
However, a tense battle erupted in the centre of the pitch as Newcastle hard-man Joelinton battled with United’s Manuel Ugarte.

Heated clash between Joelinton and Manuel Ugarte
Now, Craig Hope of the Daily Mail has reported that in the heat of their contest, Joelinton could be seen calling out Ugarte to settle their differences in the tunnel after the game.
The reported took to X, posting: “Joelinton, a Brazilian, telling Manuel Ugarte, a Uruguayan, that he’ll see him in the tunnel as he leaves the field… and it wasn’t to exchange shirts!”
The exchange came as Joelinton’s number was raised for substitution, however the Brazilian focused on Ugarte before bowing out, taking his leave being replaced by Sean Longstaff.
Thankfully for Newcastle fans nothing came of it, with the 28-year-old risking suspension, being only one booking away from a two match ban.
