Jodie Turner-Smith is looking on the bright side after her breakup with Joshua Jackson. The star of Queen & Slim has finally spoken up about the end of their relationship. This comes more than four months after the news was made public when she filed for divorce from the Dawson’s Creek actor. They’d been married for four years.
She shared some wisdom with the Sunday Times in an interview. It was published on Feb. 25. She said, “Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working.” She added, “And that’s OK.”
The most crucial thing, according to Turner-Smith? It’s all about choosing what’s healthiest for you, your family, and especially your children. She’s got a point, don’t you think?
In November, Turner-Smith and Jackson reached a custody agreement for their daughter. She continued her thoughts, saying, “There are so many different moments in our life where we look at ourselves and say, ‘Who am I and am I being true to that?’”
If the answer is no, she believes you have to make a move. She’s convinced that staying in places that aren’t good for us leaves visible scars. And these scars don’t just affect us, they impact everyone around us. A bit deep, but true.
