Last week, we got the opportunity to see Kazuya Mishima in action like we’ve never seen before in Tekken 8 via a new trailer. Earlier today, a new trailer dropped that makes it a point to showcase Jin Kazama’s gameplay.
Though we see an energy-based silhouette of Devil Jin, it does not appear that Jin ever undergoes a full transformation during this trailer. This is certainly interesting as it’s been shown that Kazuya will transform into Devil Kazuya while the Heat System is active.
As such, it’s looking highly likely that Devil Jin will once again be a playable character that’s separate from Jin. During sequences with the Heat System in effect, it can be observed that only an aura is surrounding Jin.
However, during various attacks, an energy-based wing will briefly appear upon Jin’s back. When the Rage Art is successful in hitting the opponent, his back will fully sprout one of his wings, but only for a brief second. This Rage Art was actually seen during the first official trailer for Tekken 8.
Just like with Kazuya, it appears that Jin has picked up a few new tricks since his time in Tekken 7. Needless to say, it ends up being a pretty cool trailer that has Jin fighting with Kazuya, though in a one-sided fight.
