Did they or didn’t they? That’s the question. Shayne decided to pop the question to Natalie Lee in the second season. Yet, Shaina didn’t hold back her feelings for him.
After the finale, Shayne and Natalie didn’t tie the knot. They attempted to rekindle their romance away from the cameras. But then, Natalie dropped a bombshell on Love Is Blind After the Altar. She found “flirtatious messages” between Shayne and Shaina. The messages were about “what could’ve happened if they ended up together.”
The direct messages? They were the death knell for their romance. Natalie explained, “That’s why we’re not together anymore.”
Shaina, however, had a different take. On After the Altar, she called it “slander.” She told Shayne, “We’ve always been appropriate. We’ve never hung out alone.” (Ironically, they were alone when she said this.)
Natalie had more to say in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She hinted that “a lot more” of Shayne and Shaina’s exchanges were left “on the cutting room floor.”
“I understand,” she said, “how much you can really show in these three 45-minute-long episodes.” But she had evidence. Text messages and emails with Shayne. They were talking about him unsending Instagram messages, deleting messages, and those DMs with Shaina. “That’s something that I talked about that didn’t make the cut,” she said. “I think it would have helped with the story.”
