Jeezy is hitting back. He’s responding to some serious allegations made by his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jeannie Mai. She’s a former host on The Real, and she’s not holding back in their divorce proceedings.
She’s accused the rapper of abuse during their time together. Jeezy didn’t waste any time in responding.
“These allegations are not just false, they’re deeply disturbing,” he said. This statement came out on April 25, and he didn’t mince words. He’s clearly upset, especially since these accusations are coming from someone he once loved.
Jeezy shares a 2-year-old daughter, Monaco, with Jeannie. He’s worried about the impact of these allegations on his family. “This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous,” he added.
He’s not just upset, though. He’s also concerned about his daughter. “At this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter,” he said. He’s fighting for joint custody, and he’s not backing down.
“Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels,” he continued.
E! News tried to get a response from Jeannie’s rep about Jeezy’s comments. So far, no word back.
Jeannie filed some paperwork on April 25. It was in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. E! News got their hands on it.
In the paperwork, Jeannie expressed concern about their daughter’s safety. “The safety and well-being of the minor child while in the care and custody of Father has been of utmost concern to Mother,” it read. This concern started when she found out Jeezy was seeking a divorce.
