There are a number of reasons why Zangief is labeled as being “hard” in terms of his ease of use on Street Fighter 6’s character select screen. His level 3 Super Art, for example, is often referred to as a “720 motion” which is something that can be especially daunting for newcomers.
However, Zangief’s level 3 Super Art isn’t necessarily a true 720 motion thanks to input leniency present in Street Fighter 6. In a clip uploaded to Twitter, Javits recently demonstrated a fast and easy way to perform Zangief’s level 3 Super Art.
Of course, there’s an important caveat here for performing this trick as it requires a leverless arcade stick. This type of peripheral can really emphasize speed and precision, but there’s a significant learning curve that must be overcome first.
As demonstrated by Javits, the trick to performing Zangief’s level 3 Super Art on a leverless is to slide from right to left, press up, slide from left to right, and to end with pressing up and right. Note that down directions are completely skipped in this sequence.
With this in mind, Javits has issued a challenge for those that wish to learn this technique. In the Tweet, he has asked to see if anyone can pull this off five times in a row in a video.
Check it all out below:
It cannot get any easier than this.
Slide right to left.
Press UP.
Slide left to right.
End in right+UP+punch.
Really fast.Make a video and tag me when you can do 5 in a row.
You’re welcome.#SF6_Zangief pic.twitter.com/S6pbS6YaSw
