The meta for Street Fighter 6 is about to shift dramatically due to the upcoming patch slated for May 22. Akuma is finally joining the roster alongside the major Season 2 balance update.
In preparation for this date, Javits Arias has decided to release his final tier list for Street Fighter 6 Season 1. All 21 fighters currently playable in Street Fighter 6 have been given one of the following labels: S tier, A tier, B tier, C tier, or D tier.
Luke sits by himself in the S tier category, cementing his place as the best character of Season 1. Though Ken and JP might’ve been just as good or potentially even better before their recent nerfs, they can now be found in A tier along with three other combatants.
The character that won UMA327 $1,000,000 at Capcom Cup X, Juri, has been positioned in the B tier group. Ultimately, Juri is stated to be somewhere around the seventh to the eleventh best fighter in Street Fighter 6.
According to Javits, the bottom 5 characters right now are Manon, Kimberly, E. Honda, Lily, and Zangief. This is mostly due to how they are unable to use crouch medium kick into a Drive Rush, as well as a lack of an invincible reversal.
It will certainly be interesting to see how things get changed up in the Season 2 patch. In the meantime, check out Javits’ latest tier list below:
