Jake Paul and Eddie Hearn make $1million bet on Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight, and ‘Problem Child’ promises his winnings to Serrano
Jake Paul and promoter Eddie Hearn have made a $1million bet on the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight.
Taylor and Serrano are set to meet in the early hours of Sunday morning at Madison Square Garden, New York, in what is being described as the biggest women’s boxing fight ever.

The fight pits the ‘Bray Bomber’, who is the undisputed lightweight world champion and Olympic gold medallist, against Serrano, who is a seven-weight world champion, and she has also tried her hand at mixed martial arts and professional wrestling.
Jake Paul, who is forging his own professional boxing career, is co-promoting the event through his company, Most Valuable Promotions, alongside Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
At last night’s press conference Hearn asked Paul whether he’s fully confident Serrano will win and become undisputed lightweight champion, to which Paul replied: “More confident than you are,” before proposing a bet.
“I’m not having a tattoo,” Hearn joked, but the bet he has made he may regret more.
The pair went back and forth about how much to bet before settling on the incredible sum of a million dollars and shaking hands.
“We’ll get that papered up, because I’m not sure about you,” Hearn said.

As if that wasn’t enough surprises for one day, Paul then went on to promise his winnings to Serrano.
“When Amanda wins, I’m giving your $1m to [Serrano],” Paul said.
It has already been well-publicised that both women will be taking home seven-figure purses, but now Serrano could be pocketing an extra million dollars to go with it.
