With much speculation on Jadon Sancho’s future over the last few weeks, the winger has returned to United following his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has been included as one of the Red Devils’ priority sales this summer with alot of interested generated from his former team Borussia Dortmund and from European giants, Juventus and Barcelona.
Arriving a Carrington this week, it was previously expected that he would train individually until a transfer deal was complete, however the club confirmed that he joined team training on Thursday.
“A group of senior players including the likes of Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford all returned to base on Monday, ready to get to work,” the club report began.
“Jadon Sancho returned for testing on Wednesday following his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season. The 24-year-old forward then trained with the group on Thursday.”
It’s understood that Sancho and Erik ten Hag had a positive meeting this week following their public falling out which led to Sancho banishment to the Bundesliga. However, the two seem to be drawing a line under it and moving forwards.
Whilst the 24-year-old isn’t able to play in United’s opening pre-season game against Rosenborg, he’s available for the rest of the pre-season fixtures so may feature in ten Hag’s plans.
It was expected among the interest across Europe that Sancho would be moving away from Old Trafford, however if ten Hag has indeed put their disagreement behind him, Sancho may find himself back in the team instead.
