Italian journalist claims Manchester United have identified the perfect Erik ten Hag replacement

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been under fire all season on account of terrible result after terrible result.

As such, football has taken it’s natural course and the club has been linkee with tons of managers in the event that INEOS decide not to continue with ten Hag as manager.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Bologna manager Thiago Motta has emerged as the preferred candidate to replace ten Hag.

“ManUTD are increasing their pressure on Motta. Ten Hag’s position is still at risk and the Bologna coach is currently the preferred name if the ten Hag will leave. Thiago hasn’t yet made a decision on his future: despite rumors, there is no agreement with Juventus, ” Galetti wrote on his X account.

Erik ten Hag has only won one of the last 7 Premier League games which doesn’t do him any good with regard to alleviating the insurmountable pressure already on him and his managerial status.

Thiago Motta has been doing a very fine job with Bologna and he has the club sitting pretty in 4 with Champions League football almost already secured.

They young manager is highly regarded, especially for his 2-7-2 approach which is is practically all-out attack.

The proactive football he has Bologna playing and the results they are producing has made Motta one of the finest, young managerial prospects in Europe.

The former Barca and PSG midfielder is however only focused on Bologna and the last stretch of the season and has not made a decision regarding his future.
