Main Purpose of the Job
To provide exceptional customer service by accurately issuing, maintaining, and recording company products at customer sites, ensuring their proper operation in surface operations. The Issuing Attendant is responsible for the precise and timely issuance, documentation, and tracking of materials, tools, and equipment.
Education, experience and competencies
Grade 12 and certification in inventory/warehousing (Preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory management and/or warehousing, preferably in a mining environment
Computer literate, good communication and report writing skills
Willing to work on a mine and travel when required
Responsibilities
Issue materials, tools, and equipment to authorized personnel as per requisition orders.
Maintain accurate records of issued items, including quantity, description, and recipient details
Regularly monitor stock levels and inform the Inventory Supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
Ensure that the correct stock is ordered as soon as possible.
Ensure all issued materials and equipment comply with safety standards and regulations.
Coordinate the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe and working condition.
Thoroughly test equipment to analyse faults and ensure it conforms to specifications.
Ensure that the system components comply with mine standards and procedures.
Assist in receiving deliveries, inspecting for accuracy, and updating inventory records.
Generate and submit regular reports on inventory levels, usage patterns, and any discrepancies.
Compile reports for audits, feedback, and analysis.
Provide feedback on failures and suggested improvements to the Manager.
Provide excellent customer service to mine site personnel, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized issuing area to ensure efficient and safe operations.
