Since the game launched back in June of last year, one of the most promising newcomers Street Fighter 6 has to offer has been considered pretty darn weak. Jamie, the young rival of new Street Fighter poster boy Luke, has been ranked among the weakest fighters in the entire game for the majority of the game’s lifespan.
With the recent release of Ed, though, Jamie saw a handful of buffs to give him more of an edge in battle. One of the best Street Fighter 6 players in the entire world, Punk, is currently investigating just how strong the new and improved Jamie is, and in his latest video, Punk gets to run that test against another one of the best players in the world — NuckleDu.
In Punk’s new video, the top level competitor takes Jamie into the world of online matches. What’s funny is that this video sees Punk training for the Tampa Never Sleeps weekly event, which he intended to play in as Jamie, and we now know that Punk actually took first place with Jamie at the tournament.
That should be an indicator of not only how strong of a player Punk is, but how good his current Jamie is. This video allows us to see Punk taking on several different opponents online with Jamie, and he runs into quite a few different match ups along the way.
We see Punk take on the likes of Juri, Blanka, Chun-Li, and Kimberly all with Jamie. The strongest opponent, though, is none other than NuckleDu, who jumps into the room towards the end of the video and runs both Dee Jay and Guile against Punk.
NuckleDu and Punk run several sets and all the while Punk sticks with Jamie. We don’t want to give anything away, so be sure to check out how Punk’s fresh Jamie does against the likes of a seasoned veteran like Du below.
