Ever since Street Fighter 2, crouching medium kicks have been one of the consistently strongest normal attacks in the franchise, and they’re arguably even better than ever in Street Fighter 6.
But whose low kick has the farthest reach in SF6 and who has stubby feet? Well, now we have those answers in an easy to digest fashion.
The great AlietteFaye recently put together a couple of handy charts comparing the range of all 23 characters’ crouch medium kicks.
While the first chart ranks everyone’s kicks by how far they go in pixels, the second is probably even more important since it focuses only on the fighters who can special / Drive Rush cancel from the move, which is still one of the strongest tactics in the game.
As for the overall distance, Zangief unsurprisingly sticks his boot out the farthest at 748 pixels though it is interesting to see that JP actually beats out Marisa and Manon for second place by a pretty wide margin with his hitbox.
The bottom of the list goes to Kimberly, whose kick only reaches out 557 pixels despite how the animation may look.
Out of all the Shotos now in SF6, Ryu’s feet actually stick out the most by just a few spots at 656 pixels, and he’s actually part of the only group of fighters who has a tie for their range along with Luke and M. Bison.

Akuma is three places down from them at 653 pixels, so not much difference, while Ken reaches out 649 pixels.
For the slightly smaller group of characters who can cancel their kicks, Juri actually comes out on top overall with 667 pixels.
There is a bit of a caveat to that, however, since this chart measures her farthest distance while the first frame of the hitbox on her attack is actually a bit shorter by around 5%.
A few others like Luke and Guile also have different ranges on their first active frame too.

The tied trio is actually third for cancelable kicks compared to ninth place overall with Blanka and Chun-Li separating them from the other Shotos.
Dhalsim ironically has the shortest range out of this group at 564 pixels, but that’s partly due to AlietteFaye using his down-back medium kick to represent him here to match up with the functionality of the move.
A similar decision had to be made for Ed too since his crouch medium punch is actually used for these rankings.
Obviously there’s more that goes into determining which attack is better than another besides the pure range like startup and recovery, but it’s still interesting to know / see what sort of range everyone has now.
