Innoson Motors, a Nigerian automobile manufacturer, has donated a fire service truck to the Abia State government. The donation ceremony took place at the Government House in Umuahia and was received by Governor Dr. Alex Otti.
The fire truck, designed and manufactured by Innoson, is intended to bolster the state’s firefighting capabilities. According to Innoson’s Head of Corporate Communications, Cornel Osigwe, the truck boasts advanced features to ensure a swift and efficient response to emergencies.
Osigwe revealed that the fire truck is equipped with powerful water cannons, a comprehensive hose system, and modern safety features.
“This cutting-edge technology guarantees optimal performance, enabling firefighters to swiftly tackle fire outbreaks and protect lives and properties within the community,” Osigwe explained.
Governor Otti commended Innoson for its commitment to supporting local initiatives. He emphasized the importance of investing in domestic manufacturing, showcasing the capabilities of Nigerian industries, and reducing reliance on imported goods.
