Bayer Leverkusen and Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface will miss the rest of the year as a result of injury.
The 23-year-old sustained a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh in the Super Eagles 2-1 home defeat against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday and he missed training on Thursday after returning from international duty.
It has now been revealed that he will not play again for the Bundesliga champions in 2025.
The striker was sidelined for around three months last season due to an adductor injury he sustained during Nigeria’s preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has scored eight goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for his club this season.
