Infinite blockstring for Homelander may have already been discovered in Mortal Kombat 1 and it's ridiculously easy

New character day is always one of the most exciting for fighting game players, but can often lead to techniques being discovered that the developers definitely didn’t intend for.

Homelander just launched a few hours ago as the latest guest fighter for Mortal Kombat 1, and it looks like he’s already had something of an infinite uncovered that’s super easy to pull off.

As shown off by multiple players including TGC|Stryker, They Boys’ iconic evil number one hero may have a true blockstring that can go on forever.

If Homelander lands a 4 kick in flight, he can apparently just keep hitting the button over and over again, and there’s not really a whole lot that can be done about it.

Unless you up block the first attack, this seems to be a true lockdown with inputs showing on the other character that their escape and parry attempts are doing nothing.

It appears the best course of action may be to just take one of the hits and then use an armor move or some other means of escape on recovery, which will likely cost you some resources on top of the damage from the kicks.

At least this seems like it can only be performed in the corner to get less / no pushback on the kicks, so that’s definitely a spot you don’t want to be against Homelander right now.

Some players have also found a funny way to abuse this tactic against armored foes like Slaughter Kahn in Invasions, which is comical at least.

The developers are probably already aware of this by now and are looking into it though we’ve seen no public confirmation of that yet.

Hopefully, this can be addressed quickly in a hot fix for MK1, so that players don’t need to work around this for very long at a time when people are supposed to be most excited about the new fighter.

At least it probably won’t end up like MultiVersus, which had to remove Iron Giant from the roster completely for his discovered infinite combos and glitches.
