Lots of exciting progress has been made on the fan-developed passion project that is Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Beyond. We’ve seen beautiful new graphics implemented into both gameplay and menu screens, updated versions of characters to better fit fan expectations, and more.
Now the mighty Maximilian Dood, who is widely leading the charge on the project, has a bunch of fresh footage featuring players who really know their way around the game.
In his recent upload Max showcases some 20 minutes of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Beyond footage as three players who never really stopped playing Infinite over the last seven years clash.
Infinite and Beyond is still a work in progress, of course, and while there are a few smaller bugs that keen-eyed players may catch in this latest presentation, they do nothing to hamper the palpable momentum and excitement the community has for this mod right now.
Max notes that this demonstration is considerably better than the previous one, which had him worried and stressed thanks to the much higher number of issues he could immediately pick out while watching. The passion and effort are clearly showing through as developers working on the mod are inching ever closer to what we might call a final product.
About 10 of the game’s characters get screen time during the course of the video, and some get more than others. That leaves plenty more Infinite and Beyond roster members for future display, but things are looking great at this point already.
Check out the footage below and then chime into the comments section with your thoughts on the mod. Will you be downloading and playing Infinite and Beyond as soon as it releases, and do you think it stands to affect the legacy of Infinite in a positive way?
