Manchester United are bracing for a crucial summer as INEOS prepare to back Ruben Amorim in a bid to rebuild the squad following what has been a miserable campaign.

Amorim is set to receive the backing needed to reshape his team.

However, Manchester United will first need to generate funds through player sales to meet both PSR and transfer ambitions.

One player whose future is increasingly in doubt is Alejandro Garnacho.

The Argentinian has struggled to fully adapt to Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 system this season.

Garnacho ended his goal drought against Newcastle, but fans and pundits still remain unconvinced over the 20-year-old.

The Argentine winger was already the subject of transfer speculation back in January.

Chelsea were among the clubs showing interest in a potential move.

INEOS decrease Alejandro Garnacho fee to £50m

At the time, INEOS set a valuation of £70million for Garnacho.

A fee which priced most suitors out of making a serious bid before the window closed.

But according to United in Focus, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has now revealed that INEOS have slashed Garnacho’s asking price to around £50million as they prepare for potential offers this summer.

It is believed that the Red Devils are happy to accept any offers, as long as the £50m valuation is met as reported by Graeme Bailey.

United are aware that Garnacho’s status as an academy graduate means his sale would represent pure profit in the books.

A key factor as the club works around financial restrictions.

With the forward expected to attract significant interest, his future now looks one of the defining stories of the club’s summer window.

It would certainly come as a shock to United fans if the attacker departs, only to join another Premier League club.

Time will ultimately tell, as to where Garnacho’s heart lies.
