Ighalo extends contract with Watford until 2021

Nigeria international and Watford striker, Odion Ighalo has committed his future to the Hornets amidst rumours of him leaving Vicarage Road.

The Premier League based club announced this earlier on their website, stating that the forward has signed a new contract until 2021.

The 27-year-old was impressive last season with the Hornets scoring 17 goals in 42 games to end speculations about his departure from the club.

Meanwhile, the English club had earlier on turned down a £38m offer from a Chinese side, Shanghai SIPG for the Super Eagles’ star.

Watford will be playing their first English Premier League 2016/2017 game of the season versus Southampton on Saturday under new coach, Walter Mazzarri.
