ICT Infrastructure Team Leader – Stellenbosch

Minimum Requirements

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or diploma.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in an IT support environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
  • Attention to detail
  • A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
  • Fast and self-learning abilities.
  • Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willing to travel
  • Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the group’s ICT infrastructure. Not limited to;
  • IT hardware. Includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
  • Networking and cabling – ensure consistent high standards throughout the group
  • Connectivity. Data, voice, telephony
  • Desktop security (including antivirus, patch management)
  • User security awareness and training
  • Desktop support services
  • Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people)
  • Key supplier relationships and management
  • Google Workspace administration and adoption
  • Cost management
  • Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV
