Minimum Requirements
Requirements
- A relevant degree or diploma.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in an IT support environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
- Attention to detail
- A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
- Fast and self-learning abilities.
- Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to travel
- Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the group’s ICT infrastructure. Not limited to;
- IT hardware. Includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
- Networking and cabling – ensure consistent high standards throughout the group
- Connectivity. Data, voice, telephony
- Desktop security (including antivirus, patch management)
- User security awareness and training
- Desktop support services
- Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people)
- Key supplier relationships and management
- Google Workspace administration and adoption
- Cost management
- Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV
