Recently released UFC veteran Sam Alvey claims he beat up Logan Paul so bad during a sparring session his brother Jake refused to get in the ring with him.
Ahead of their first amateur boxing bouts in 2018, the internet celebrity siblings called on Alvey to help them prepare to face KSI and his brother Deji in Manchester.
The 36-year-old, who was just cut by the UFC after nine fights without a win, including eight losses and a draw, claims he made light work of ‘The Maverick’ in sparring.
“They invited me to come out and help them train, so I helped spar with Logan Paul. This would’ve been five years ago, six years ago, something like that,” Alvey told the MMA Hour.
“I got to spar with Logan Paul and it was a lot of fun. Logan seemed like a good dude. I wasn’t crazy about Jake but it could’ve just been the day. He was a douche. He was. I’m Smilin’ Sam, I’m not supposed to be saying that, but he was a douche. Logan seemed OK.”
The 33-18-1 MMA fighter revealed he almost broke Logan’s jaw in sparring and after that, Jake, who is now 5-0 in professional boxing, refused to get in the ring with him.

“Logan, I actually almost broke his jaw in the sparring session. I was doing the best I could to carry him, to just be a training partner for him, throw some and he just he just kept getting hit. At one point he kind of fell back.
“I was supposed to spar his brother too. Jake wouldn’t do it afterwards. I said, ‘Jake, I’ll take it easy, I’ll give you whatever work you want.’ But Jake wouldn’t spar me that day and then I was never invited back.”
Now he is no longer in the UFC, Alvey is hoping to secure a fight with the former Disney actor who already has knockout wins over former MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.
It seems an unlikely match-up given Alvey’s recent record and the fact Paul has much better options on the table such as UFC legend Nate Diaz and controversial social media star Andrew Tate.
The 25-year-old is currently looking for an opponent after his August 6 event at Madison Square Garden in New York collapsed after Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman fell off the card.
