Manchester United are keen to sign a striker this summer after a dismal season in attack.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to be consistent goal scorers for The Red Devils, being one of several factors for United’s poor results.
Now, the United recruitment team are scouring Europe for prolific strikers to move to Old Trafford in the summer.
One such target is Hugo Ekitike for Eintracht Frankfurt who’s been lighting up the Bundesliga this year.
So far the 22-year-old has registered 19 goals and eight assists in 38 games, helping Frankfurt to fourth place in the German top division.
Now, the young striker has given United a massive boost in pursuing him.

Hugo Ekitike confesses to supporting Manchester United
Speaking to Eintracht Frankfurt TV, the youngster was asked who his favourite team was growing up.
To the delight of Red Devils everywhere, Ekitike confessed it was Manchester United.
Now, the striker could be given the chance to not only play for his boyhood club, but to be a key player in returning them to their former glory.
With that being an incredible opportunity, United will surely want to capitalise on this revelation.
This certainly gives United an edge over the other Premier League sides who have been reported as also being interested in the striker’s services.
