How the Fall of Syria Could Trigger a Regional War
By turning all of Syria into a “sterile defense zone”, Israel is free to launch a large-scale preemptive strike against Iran.
One thing has now become crystal clear: the fall of Damascus on December 8th was a geopolitical game changer.
Just hours after the US-Israeli–Turkish backed al-Qaeda/HTS takeover of Syria was complete, Israel was then given the green light to launch a record number of airstrikes against Syrian military targets – effectively liquidating all of the country’s military installations, air defense batteries, air force and navy.
By turning all of Syria into a “sterile defense zone”, Israel is free to launch a large-scale preemptive strike against Iran. While Syrian air defense systems weren’t a threat to Israeli F35s, it still made the overflight of Israel’s air-to-air refueling tankers impossible. Hence, refueling was only ever possible with full U.S. assistance.
All of these previously encumbering tactical restrictions are now lifted. This could also mean that Israel can attempt a similar ‘decapitation strike’ which they carried out against Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah – now against Iran’s Supreme Leader. Israel’s path to all-out war in the region is now clear.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
