How Otu is Funding his Inauguration with personal funds after Ayade collected N500M

In less than 12 hours from now, the governor elect of Cross River State will be sworn into office and many things have been left undone despite preparation being on top gear.
Unlike other states Cross River State appointed and innuagurated members of the state transition committee about two weeks ago, a period said to be too short for th committee to plan the transition, notwithstanding, the committee made up eggheads came up with a simplified plan and a budget of about N500m.
Ayade sought the approval of the state executive council and the money was approved in less than no time. But issues arose when the committee couldn't access the money. .
The Innuaguration committee led by Senator Ndoma Egba led had submitted a budget of N402m to the governor, our reporter gathered that the Governor Ayade only released N25m and later added additional N5m upon complaints, making N30m to the committee.
The governor is also said to have recommended the company that will handle the inauguration platform and the company will be paid N8m from the N30m he gave the committee. Leaving the committee with about N22m to carter for Venue, Mobilization, and other logistics for such a big day.
We learnt a committee of other persons, not announced to the public and not the same with the inauguration committee, raised a separate memo to the Governor, requesting for N100m for the transition activities. The Governor released N30m to that committee, to share N10m for Security and N20m for Environment.
As it stands, the governor is said to be more interested in commissioning his projects than in the Monday handing over.
Insider sources reveal that the committee have resorted to run back to the incoming governor, Sen. Bassey Otu who is now funding the Innuaguration with personal funds just to safe face since it is his day.
