The transfer market can be a funny place, with two seemingly unrelated transfers starting a chain reaction.
This is something we could see with Leicester targeting a Serie A star which in turn could support the offload of one of United’s priority sales this summer.
Leicester City are back in the Premier League this season after winning the Championship so are looking to strengthen their squad.
In doing this, the Foxes are turning to Italian giants Juventus and their young winger Matias
Reports from CaughtOffside suggest that Leicester are front runners to sign Soule and will soon launch an offer for the Argentinian of between £20 million and £25 million.
Whilst this initial offer is unlikely to be accepted, with Juve wanting £34 million for their attacker. However, the Old Lady are willing to negotiate, meaning the two clubs could reach an agreement in no time at all.
But how does this effect United?
Well, Juventus have had their eye on Mason Greenwood for sometime now and are close to losing out on their first-choice target with Greenwood on the verge of signing for Marseille.
So Juve will in turn focus on their second choice, potentially with more aggression to not miss out again. And who is their second-choice target?
Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
The price tag on the England international is reported as between £30 million and £40 million, with the Red Devils also open to a loan-to-buy offer.
Juventus know the funds from selling Soule will be vital in the negotiations with United for Sancho, so a lot could be riding on Leicester’s offer.
A move away from the club would be a great step for Sancho who was banished from Old Trafford to Borussia Dortmund last season after publicly falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.
