How I became successful in life, Bishop Obiorah admonishes young entrepreneurs

By Ovat Abeng

Chairman of EMOS Best Industries, Founder and Presiding Bishop of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly Ministries Inc, Bishop Dr Emmanuel Chukwuezugo Obiorah, has said one of the secrets of his success in life is his constant recourse to the way things were done in the past with the hope of gleaning knowledge on how to do them better.

Obiorah made the submission while admonishing upcoming Nigerian young entrepreneurs in the just concluded two-day 2025 Under 45 CEOs Business and Leadership Summit with the topic: “The Success Story” organized by Ultimate Destiny Uplifters Foundation (UDUF Africa), held at Bishop Patterson auditorium , All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra State, on Saturday October 4th, 2025.

According to him, nobody can attain anything meaningful without regard for the old.

He said, “There is always something in the old required to birth the new. Those who despise the old never succeeds to secure the new because every new thing comes from an old seed.

“Every new plant comes from an old seed. Every smart boy came from a dull parent. There is no smart boy that gives birth to himself.”

He reveal that reading biographies has contributed largely to help him become who he is today.

Obiorah said further, “Grace multiply by knowledge. As I see those who went before me, it helps me to know how God manifest himself for those who are after him. That made me began to study biographies to make me make the most use of my Ministry and my businesses. The lessons are unfathomable.”

Citing the example of EMOS Best Industries, Obiorah said, “when my company was going to start I got an inspiration to study and gathered information about owning an industry widely. I did a comparative analysis. The outcome was mind-blowing. And suddenly EMOS Best Industries became a phenomenon in Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra State, South East region, Nigeria and the World at large.”

He stressed that there is something in the past that would be needed in the present. All the tutelage we received from scriptures were all part of our present. It took a thousand and five hundred years to write out the stories of the Bible.

“Greatness is not for everybody, but just anybody can be great. Wellness is available for all but it is not everybody that live a life of wellness. Life is a secret. And only those who embark on the journey of life can make something great out of it.

“Formal education is good but is not the ultimate determinant of life. To be a first class student in the school is very good, but it can never be the yardstick to measure success.

“I did not really understand this when I was young. I try to figure it out in my head, I reflected on it anytime it flashes back to my mind. But all these processes never explained to me the reason for the proverb. I kept my ways and still living my life like others until I discovered my purpose and had an encounter with destiny.

“Life has rules that need to be learned, applied and followed. Greatness has some demands and price that needs to supply and paid. If the necessary things are not put in place, the necessary will never be supplied. Only those that do it well, will live well and enjoy well.

“Sometimes, when I check social media and look at some pictures of people, I got worried and baffled. My question is where are the A students? Where are the people that I thought will make it faster than me in life? All of a sudden their identities fizzle out, expectation disappeared and reality set in.

“I have these secrets which I think will change your life and catapult you ahead of people that you think has gone ahead. These secrets worked for me and it can work for you too. These secrets are not what I think will work, but what I know that has worked. These secrets don’t care about your background or where you are right now. Fortunately, these secrets are blind, they can’t even recognize who uses them and who does not. They are also deaf, they cannot recognize voices or in turn, favor one person over the others. As you know that God does not have a favorite in his infinite manifestation.

“Always Identify yourself with your creator (God). Everything in life is manufactured by someone which includes you. Therefore, you are a product of a manufacturer. His name is Yahweh (God). He sent His only begotten Son to die for your sin and restores you back to where He intended for you.

“I urged you all listening to me in this epoc making event to listen to the old, believe/have faith in the world of God, respect those before you, be honest, transparent and trustworthy, if you must succeed in the trouble World,” the Bishop further admonished.
