Broski is pretty good at execution when it comes to Street Fighter games. Coming off of his incredible Oro back in Street Fighter 5, the top notch player / content creator has been producing outstanding highlights in Street Fighter 6 first with JP and now with A.K.I.
We’ve seen some of the most impressive and intricate A.K.I. combos and set ups ever made come from Broski, and he recently shared a clip on Twitter that only further pushes that motif. Somehow, Broski managed to land a stray jab after crossing under a Ken’s air Tatsu, then convert that into a full blown Drive Rush juggle sequence that is definitely not easy to do.
The clip starts out with Broski’s A.K.I. having his opponent cornered. They go back and forth for a little bit before Broski inevitably poisons his prey.
As a means of escaping the corner, the Ken player jumps toward Broski and uses Ken’s air Tatsu not only to travel a bit farther, but likely in hopes that it would hit as a cross up. The move whiffed, and Broski had enough time here to walk under Ken and respond by hitting him with a standing jab while still airborne.
Because the jab hit as a punish counter, this forced Ken into a juggle state and allowed Broski to follow up with a raw Drive Rush to continue the sequence. While the choice Broski made here wasn’t optimal at all, it definitely worked for this particular situation and was impressive to see in action.
After that punish counter jab, Broski fired into a raw Drive Rush crouching light punch, and then did it four more times until closing out with A.K.I.’s Overdrive whip. Now, this may seem like an easy sequence to pull off because he’s only using crouching jabs, but in actuality, the timing to do this is quite strict and if you mess it up, you’ll cancel the jab into a Drive Rush and lose three bars of Drive Gauge just like that.
I don’t know how Broski had the awareness to pull this off mid-match, but damn, does it make for a great highlight.
