Honor Set To Make A Remarkable Comeback In The Philippines

Honor will be heading back to the Philippines. However, it will bring Google Service-enabled devices to the country this time around. Huawei is still struggling to resume its business ties with US-based tech giants including Google. Honor, on the other hand, has been dominating the smartphone market along with Apple and Samsung. To recap, Huawei sold its Honor business about two years ago.

Notably, the Honor smartphone uses Snapdragon 5G processor from American semiconductor company Qualcomm. Further, handsets from the brand come with Google Mobile Services. In fact, Honor phones boast the entire suite of Google’s mobile apps. As per a blog post on HiHonor, the popular brand will reintroduce itself during an offline press event. This event will take place on August 9.

Honor Coming Back To The Philippines

Honor is prepping to unveil multiple new products at the IFA 2022. Meanwhile, the brand is paving the way for its return to the Philippines. If the invite is anything to go by, Iridium Technologies, Inc will be handling domestic sales of Honor products in the Philippines. Notably, Iridium Technologies, Inc is also a distributor of products of leading companies in the country. Iridium handles the sales of Huawei, Motorola, Realme, Oppo, and even Apple products.

Moreover, Iridium sells devices to telecom companies in the Philippines. Now, it will be interesting to see if Honor will start launching flagship smartphones after its reintroduction. Likewise, the brand could unveil a myriad of top-notch laptops and wearables in the Philippines soon. There could be both high-end, as well as mid-tier offerings from Honor. Who wouldn’t love to get their hands on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Honor Magic4 Pro?

Likewise, the Honor 70 Pro Plus and the MagicBook series could go official in the country. However, launching the affordable Honor X8 5G in the Philippines could be more feasible. The handset packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G SoC. Further, it houses a 40MP main camera on the back. The handset uses a 5,000mAh battery to draw its juices. This cell supports up to 22.5 watts of fast charging, as well. The X8 5G retails for AED 899 (about P13,595 or $245) in the UAE.
