Recently, the Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu who was a counsellor for “The Tell Your Story Mind Rubbing Session” a programme of HIT FM, Calabar was lauded for her commitment in making the event successful.
The program which was initiated in HIT FM to bring together listeners, victims of domestic violence, relationship experts and counsellors to openly interact on a range of pertinent issues affecting domestic violence and relationship.
Hon. Patrick Ugbe who was the chief host, thanked all the counsellors for coming to share their experiences and counsel with the audience. He further commended the Governor of CRS Sen. Ben Ayade for bringing an innovative smart woman with profound counselling skills on board his administration. In his words “Dr Betta is very resourceful”
MacDonald Peter Anyangbe, Head of Programmes and Production in a mail sent to the office of DG thanked her for every interaction, kind word, and piece of advice that she has offered during the session. He noted that the DG was sound and multifaceted. “Everything about Dr. Betta Edu is pure excellence, Indeed this event would not have been the success it was without your generous input as you took time out of your busy schedule to impact knowledge as a counsellor in this event.
We sincerely hope that the good rapport that now exist will be maintained and that you will continue to support us in our future events said Mr Anyangbe”.
The DG, Dr Betta Edu in a chat with some press men noted that she was happy to share her knowledge in relationship issues to the public and will always be willing to talk anytime she's could upon to counsel. She gave encomium to the station, stating that HIT FM have surpass her benchmark while advocating for them to remain non partisan in affairs of the state and dissemination of information to the public as well as use the platform to promote health and health activities in the state.
She noted that for the first time radio can be felt. The interactive sessions were very touching and other great counsellors were available to give Godly counselling to the very keen audience. UNFPA was also present.
