‘He’s done nothing in the game’
Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk had a first half to forget in Ukraine’s Euro 2024 qualifier away at England.
Big things were expected of the 22-year-old when he joined the Blues in a deal rising to £88million earlier this year from Shakhtar Donetsk.

But he hasn’t scored in any of his seven appearances for Graham Potter, with the winger failing to nail down a starting spot.
Regarded as Ukraine’s most exciting player, he was a passenger for the opening 45 minutes in Wembley as he was pocketed by Kyle Walker.
His only real contribution to the game was when he inadvertently blocked an effort from teammate Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Reflecting on the incident on talkSPORT commentary, Jim Proudfoot quipped: “The ball has hit Mudryk.
“It’s come off his backside and it’s great defending for England there…”
Three Lions legend Stuart Pearce meanwhile urged Ukraine’s interim boss Ruslan Rotan to put Mudryk on the right wing with the player struggling to get past Walker.

He said: “If I was Ukraine, I would get Mudryk on the opposite side of the pitch.
“Because at the moment, he’s up against somebody that has got his number.
“Walker has certainly got his number. He’s done nothing in the game Mudryk, and he’s arguably one of their better players.
“It’s only because he’s up against Walker that he’s been so ineffective.”
