Typically in the Street Fighter series, the only way to combo into Akuma’s Raging Demon is to first secure a crumple on the opponent. However, Street Fighter 6 has eased the combo restrictions of command grab super arts.
Though Akuma will only be able to perform the Raging Demon while he has 25% remaining health (and three bars of super gauge), this is the point in which Akuma will be at his most dangerous. Since the Season 2 update will be played at the AT&T Annihilator Cup, which allowed Jake’n’Bake on his live stream to provide an sneak peek at Akuma and the upcoming balance patch.
To really showcase what the next fighter is capable of in Street Fighter 6, Jake’n’Bake decided to go through Akuma’s trials via the demonstration option. As such, RDC|Tormentor clipped the Advanced 5 trial, which ended a combo into the Raging Demon.
It’s demonstrated that Akuma can do this by cancelling his light Adamant Flame into the Raging Demon. The opponent will be left standing by the special attack, which is unfortunate for them since it leaves them open to this deadly finisher.
In total, the combo deals about 6,054 points of damage against the opposition. That’s a little over 60% damage against most characters in Street Fighter 6 considering that all but four fighters have 10,000 points of health.
Of course, it should be noted that this percentage will be a little higher against Akuma in particular due to his below average vitality of 9,000. Check it all out below:
