Mortal Kombat 1 fans who shelled out their hard earned cash for Kombat Pack 1 or the Premium Edition of the game can now get their hands on the latest main roster DLC character by way of early access. Takeda, the bladed whip wielder, is now in the hands of the people and we’re already seeing a lot of great tech and footage of him being shared on social media.
During Evo 2024 weekend, those in attendance were able to play the character even earlier on the show floor, and some folks were quick to find and capture footage of his hidden second Fatality while there. Today, we have some better footage of the finisher, as well as the proper inputs so that you can do it too.
As mentioned in our previous story, this Fatality starts with Takeda shooting his bladed whips forward and impaling the opponent with them before pulling himself in. He flies across the screen and kicks off of the foe, knocking them further back onto the whips, then he pulls the whips apart in a twisting motion to rip the opponent in half.
In order to perform this Takeda Fatality yourself, you’ll want to start by standing at far distance away from the opponent. You can see in the clip below whereabouts the sweet spot for this finisher is.
Once there, input back, forward, back, then 2. On Xbox controllers you’ll be hitting Y, PlayStation is Triangle, and Nintendo Switch is X with default controls.
With the release of Takeda and Ferra, the final DLC Kameo Fighter, Mortal Kombat 1 has officially wrapped up its Kombat Pack 1 set of content. We will be learning more about what’s next for the game later this week at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
