We had several events for the Capcom Pro Tour play out this weekend. As such, 43 out of 48 players are now qualified for the Capcom Cup X event that is to be held in the month of February 2024.
There are only three Online Premiers, one World Warrior Circuit, and one Last Chance Qualifier remaining to determine which players and characters will be present at Capcom Cup X.
Luke is currently slated to be the most popular character within Capcom Cup X. As of right now, there are eight players using Luke as their main while two others have him ready as a secondary.
Ken isn’t too far behind as there are seven players using him as their primary character with just one other player using him as a backup. In third place is Dee Jee with six competitors maining him.
Juri and Chun-Li then have four players a piece user them, though it’s worth mentioning that one more player is using Juri as a secondary.
JP, Dhalsim, and Guile each have three players qualified for Capcom Cup X. Technically speaking, JP was also used as a secondary specifically by Bandits|MenaRD during the CPT 2023 World Warrior: US East Regional Final where he promptly lost with the character once, then won the event after switching to someone else.
As it stands, MenaRD is the only competitor that has technically used more than two fighters to qualify for Capcom Cup X during the event in which he qualified for. He was primarily counted to be a Blanka main with Luke and JP as secondaries.
The only combatants that are not qualified for Capcom Cup X so far are Kimberly, E. Honda, Lily, A.K.I., Jamie, Manon, and Ryu. With only five possible slots remaining for Capcom Cup X, we’ll have to see if that changes later on.
