Just yesterday, we learned about a couple of new features coming to Street Fighter 6 alongside Terry Bogard in the upcoming patch scheduled for September 24, 2025. Earlier today, Capcom provided a better look at the “Replay Review” featured.
Similar to how the feature effectively works in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R and Tekken 8. While viewing a replay, it’ll be possible to take control of one of the players to replay an interaction with different responses.
Capcom has confirmed that this feature will be available for replays taken from either local or online play. This should prove to be an invaluable tool for learning Street Fighter 6 going forward.
In the clip, we see a Ken player positioned in the corner by a Kimberly. Following this, Kimberly is able to open up the Ken player with an overhead covered by a spray paint can, which of course leads to big damage.
Activating the Replay Review function, the spectator then takes control of Ken to attempt a few things. It turns out that using an Overdrive Dragon Punch or a level 1 super art wouldn’t work out in this situation due to the spray paint can.
However, through the Replay Review feature, they’re able to determine that the Ken player would’ve been better off using either a Drive Reversal or a level 3 super art in this situation. The rewind feature is actually pretty handy as a player will be permitted the opportunity to try multiple ideas in quick succession.
