Tekken 8 was released just last week. Since then, players have been putting in the time to figure out the best ways to play.
Just like with any other fighting game, being able to deal large amounts of damage with as few combos as possible is a particularly useful trait to have in Tekken 8. As such, we’re highlighting some of the combos that have recently surfaced on Twitter for the new game.
First off, it’s important to note that Tekken 8’s Rage system functions as a powerful comeback mechanic. Once a character’s health falls below a certain point, they’ll begin glowing red.
While Rage is active, attacks will naturally deal 10% more damage, but this effect will be spent if the player uses their Rage Art. Needless to say, combos with Rage active will naturally deal more more damage even if the Rage Art goes unused at the end of the sequence.
Fighters in Tekken 8 have a total of 180 health points. Needless to say, there are plenty of combos showcased that deal over 100 points of damage, which is more than 50% of the damage a character can sustain.
Damage in Tekken 8 already feels to be pretty high, but we luckily haven’t seen anything that’s comparable to the damage output of Tekken 7’s Akuma just yet.

Leo’s 144 damage combo without rage. I can definitely see some nerfs happening for scaling in the near future. #tekken8 #TEKKEN pic.twitter.com/fAK5yTp3Aq
