We’ve got a little something different from Desk as his latest video highlights the various cameo and Easter egg appearances from the ending scenes in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

The 2008 crossover fighting game was developed by Eighting and published by Capcom, and features characters from both Capcom’s video game franchises and various anime series produced by, as you may have guessed, Tatsunoko Production.

Complete the arcade ladder with the various characters and you’ll be rewarded with story conclusions depicted through series of still images. Finish the game as Mega Man’s sister Roll, for instance, and you’ll see a pair of hulking, shadowy figures in one of her scenes.

The first of these two is Vector, an emotionless prototype assassin robot from Capcom’s first in-house polygonal fighting game: Star Gladiator. The second is Phobos, known more commonly as Huitzil in the West, a robot who served as a sub-boss in the first Darkstalkers game.

Another ending has a single panel that includes characters from Mega Man X, Mega Man X5, Captain Commando, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Lost Planet, and Red Earth.

Fans of Capcom and/or Tatsunoko will surely get a kick out of these. It would be easy enough to have played through TvC multiple times and not picked up on many of the less conspicuous references, so we’re grateful to Desk for doing the work and pointing them all out for us.
