SACRAMENTO — A toasty 110-degree week is forecast to taper off Sunday in the north state but with fire weather conditions to persist into next week because of low humidity, according to the National Weather Service.
Humidity levels are forecast to hover up to 20% through the week as temperatures cool to the low 100s, according to Sara Purdue, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Sacramento.

“Regardless of cooling off, it’s just been so dry,” Purdue said.
A heat warning is in effect for areas of the north valley until 9 p.m. tonight. Moderate heat risk is forecast Sunday through Thursday.
Noticeable cooling is forecast overnight in Chico and Oroville, with their max temperature forecasts both Sunday and Monday at 102 degre
es; Red Bluff at 103 degrees; and Paradise at 95 degrees.Purdue said humidity levels around 20% are forecast to continue through the week with little recovery at night, only up to 40%.
