Our client in the Hospitality industry is looking to hire a Head Baker for their new restaurant in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The Head Baker will be responsible for leading the bakery team, creating new recipes, ensuring consistent product quality, and overseeing the daily production of all baked goods. They will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee the production of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for the restaurant.
- Lead and supervise the bakery team, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Manage inventory, order baking supplies, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Experiment with and introduce new recipes to enhance the restaurant\’s menu.
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality and presentation standards before service.
- Train and mentor junior bakers and kitchen staff.
