Safety Babes extended their winning streak at the Ardova Handball Premier League as they defeated Seasider Babes of Lagos 32-30 in Lagos.
The defending champions had to battle against Seasider Babes and their fans but they dug deep to record a vital victory despite the odds against them.
Other results in the women’s category saw Defender Babes defeat Bendel Dynamos 42-23, while Delta Queens defeated Imo Grasshopper 35-34.
Rima Queens comfortably defeated COAS Babes 34-21 while Rivers Queens, and former champion Plateau Peacocks played out an interesting 28-28 draw
In the men category the former defending champion came back to winning ways as they defeated Corrections Boys 28-25 while Rima Strikers efficiently defeated Benue Buffaloes 37-21.
Tojemarine HBC pummeled Adamawa Warriors 25-44 while Safety Shooters earned a 34-23 victory over Seasider Boys of Lagos.
