Gunmen on Friday killed a guest at the popular Raptor Club and Lounge in Edo State.
The spokesman for the state police command, Moses Iyamu, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Benin City, said the victim was shot dead in the early hours of Friday, while his female passenger sustained gunshot injuries.
He added that investigations into the incident were ongoing.
The spokesman said: “Police received a distress call at 3:00 a.m. that there were gunshots at Raptop Club.
“The operatives on reaching the scene went after the hoodlums, who escaped and abandoned a pump action gun and two expended empty shells.
“Efforts were ongoing to arrest the perpetrators.”
