Guilty Gear Strive Version 1.41 patch notes, Team of 3 Mode released in new update

It’s already been three weeks since Guilty Gear Strive’s big Season 4 update dropped alongside Queen Dizzy, but that also brought a slew of unintended issues as well.

Arc System Works just dropped the Version 1.41 update to Strive with the patch notes to fix many of the problems and add a brand new way to play Guilty Gear too.

The new update that should now be available for all players provides fixes for Ky, Chipp, Potemkin, Faust, a bunch for Ramlethal, Leo, Goldlewis, Baiken, Bedman, and Dizzy.

The developers confirm, however, there are still more issues that’ll be addressed in a future update to be announced later.

On top of that, the new Team of 3 mode is also now a part of the base game after two beta trials.

This allows players to team up with two other partners and face off against other groups.

One person starts as the main with their character battling like a somewhat normal match while the other two can assist with various skills and attacks to turn Guilty Gear into a team fighter

Skill loadouts can be customized between 5 roles and 32 skills though there are pre-sets to choose from too.

Training Mode

• Added Burst Gauge Auto Recovery, 1P Burst Gauge, and 2P Burst Gauge options under the Psych Burst settings from the Training Mode menu, making it possible to set the gauge level in finer detail. The previous Psych Burst option has been removed.
Other

• Fixed minor issues.

Battle Related

• Updated the Battle Version from Ver. 4.00 to Ver. 4.01. This mainly consists of fixes for issues confirmed after the prior update. Please see below for details.

• Changes to Battle Mechanics

• All characters, including Potemkin and Nagoriyuki, can now air dash during the follow-up sequence after the homing jump on hit of Charged Dust Attack. This change is in line with the TEAM OF 3 mechanics, and not something intended to alter battle balance.

Fixes for In-game Issues

System: Fixed an issue causing the increased attack and defense of a character in Positive Bonus, etc., not to affect the chip damage they dealt and received.

Ky: Fixed an issue of the cooldown time for repeated projectile use being briefer than intended for Ky’s Stun Edge, Aerial Stun Edge, and Charged Stun Edge under certain conditions.

Chipp:

• Fixed an issue of the game becoming temporarily unresponsive after using Chipp’s Tightrope Run upon round victory.

• Fixed an issue of Chipp’s Banki Messai sometimes not connecting with all of the hits while Dizzy’s Ice Field is active.

Potemkin:
• Fixed an issue with the display order of the characters when Roman Canceling Potemkin’s Potemkin Buster at certain timings.

Faust:

• Fixed an issue of Faust’s Mini Faust not behaving as intended when hit with an attack mid-air.

• Fixed an issue causing Wall Break to not trigger sometimes when the afro explosion hits an opponent stuck to the wall.

Ramlethal:

• Fixed an issue of the explosion triggering Guard Crush when the opponent does not block the sword from Ramlethal’s Bajoneto attacks.

• Fixed an issue of the sword and explosion attacks from Ramlethal’s Bajoneto still triggering even when Ramlethal takes damage.

• Fixed an issue of the swords gaining a collision pushbox under certain conditions during Ramlethal’s Calvados.

Leo:

• Fixed an issue in which Leo cannot cancel normal moves into certain special moves while in Brynhildr Stance.

• Fixed an issue in which a special move input will receive priority instead even when the Overdrive input is performed correctly, when performing an Overdrive after a normal move while in Leo’s Brynhildr Stance at certain timings.

Goldlewis:

• Fixed an issue of the camera sometimes encountering issues when Wall Break is triggered with Goldlewis’s Skyfish under certain conditions.

• Fixed an issue making it possible for the opponent to Psych Burst during the sequence, causing the game to then become unresponsive to inputs when Wall Break is triggered with Goldlewis’ Skyfish under certain conditions.

Baiken: Fixed an issue causing Baiken’s Kenjyu to sometimes gain an increased hit count.

Bedman?: Fixed an issue in which the attack would hit at a higher position than intended if performed at a certain altitude, when error 6E triggers mid-air for Bedman?’s call 4B9.

Dizzy: Fixed an issue causing Wall Break to not trigger sometimes when the attack from Dizzy’s Frozen state ending hits an opponent stuck to the wall.

We have confirmed the following additional issues as well, which will be addressed in a future update.

• During Ramlethal’s S/HS attacks, under certain conditions the sword will sometimes face the opposite direction.

• Jack-O’s Servant Shoot can sometimes be dash canceled even when not coming into contact with a servant.

• After activating Dizzy’s Ice Field, moving at a certain timing will result in extremely high-speed movement.

• When triggering wall stick under certain conditions, the attacking player’s Burst Gauge will recover.

• Under certain conditions, the damage information in Training Mode will be displayed incorrectly.

• Incorrect text in the Command List for Asuka’s Bit Shift Metron description.

• When hitting Faust’s Afro with Hole in One! under certain conditions the collision will disappear, making it invisible.

• When hitting Faust’s Mini Faust with Hole in One! under certain conditions, it will not bounce back on the stage corner.

• When using Goldlewis’ Behemoth Typhoon, sometimes it will cancel into Behemoth Typhoon if HS is pressed twice at a certain timing even when only one half-circle is input.

We will make another announcement regarding when this fix will be implemented. We apologize to all our dedicated players for the inconvenience caused.
