The wait is finally almost over, as Guilty Gear’s queen is about to join the battle again after taking care of official matters these past few years — and she’s not coming emptyhanded.
Arc System Works is gearing up to release the big Season 4 update and Queen Dizzy for Guilty Gear Strive, but first they need to take things offline run through some server maintenance in preparation tonight.
As already revealed by the developers, Strive’s maintenance is scheduled to begin at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET on October 31 and last through approximately 2 a.m. PT / 5 a.m. ET.
During this time, all online functionality will remain unavailable including lobbies, matchmaking, and other features that require an internet connection.
Dizzy should become playable once the update goes live to kick off Season 4’s new content as its first DLC character.
On top of that, there’s also an enormous amount of balance changes coming to every character, and you can already check out the full Version 1.40 patch notes now.
Some fighters like Ramlethal and Potemkin appear as though they may be very different in the coming update, so things are about to get very interesting for Strive players.
ArcSys has already released the official starter guide video for Dizzy too, which goes over all of her moves ahead of launching.
It appears the queen retains a decent chunk of her previous moves (but not all of them), and Dizzy’s also picked up a new attack from her mother, Justice.
And she can still rain down ice and fire.
Stay tuned for more updates and coverage for Guilty Gear Strive as the game begins a new chapter very soon.
In connection with an update, we will be conducting maintenance for Guilty Gear -Strive- on PS5/PS4/Xbox/Win.
