This position is a key part of the Mimecast Finance team providing finance management, analytics, financial modelling and support to the global marketing team. We're looking for a finance professional seeking a unique opportunity to leverage strong analytic, interpersonal, and business acumen to work within a world class organization providing leadership and support to our marketing team. You should understand basic GTM motions especially those pertaining to the marketing eco-system and SAAS industry.
You will partner with several VPs in the marketing team across the globe while working cross functionally to develop, lead and manage marketing strategy and activities for the business. You will maintain financial modelling, forecasting, analytics, reporting, including the core activities related to prospective growth in pipeline, revenue and costs improvement.
What you'll do
Be the GTM Finance consolidation point for the theatre and global finance teams related to marketing investments, business development teams (“BDR”) capacity models, compensation, headcount, and associated return on investments
Collate, monitor and analyze business data pertaining to marketing activities and report back to all internal stakeholders e.g., pipeline health, growth and targets partnering with our marketing operations and data and analytics teams
Collate, monitor, analyze and educate on value drivers (“Key Metrics”) of the global marketing organization
Ensure all marketing investments and activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets for short- and long-term plans of the marketing business
Build new and maintain existing financial models to support strong decision making within GTM finance and marketing teams
Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve GTM finance goals in support of corporate finance goals
You are required to work and be flexible across global time zones within reason
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree/or National diploma in finance or proven equivalent finance qualification
Experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A or similar role that requires financial planning and business partnering
Exceptional analytical & problem-solving skills
Proven financial modelling skills (MS Excel)
Demonstrated ability to build executive presentations (MS PowerPoint)
The ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast paced, high growth environment
Advance MS office skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of systems such as: Sales Force (CRM), Netsuite (ERP) and Tableau (BI)
