Griezmann's double sends host to final as France beat Germany 2-0 at #Euro2016

Antonio Griezmann scored twice either side of the half as France defeated World Champions Germany to book a final clash with Portugal at Stade de France on Sunday 10th July, 2016.

The Atletico Madrid star is proving his best as he’s recorded six (6) goals more than any player at the tournament.

Griezmann scored from the spot after the referee had adjudged Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger for handling the ball inside his own box at the end of second half. The Atletico Madrid man steps up to send Manuel Neuer the wrong way after having missed a penalty 6 weeks ago during the UEFA Champions League Final.

Germany were without their bolster defence, Hummels, Khedira, and Gomez. Things got worst when informed defender limped off after picking an injury during the second half of the game.

The Germans dominated play but rarely tested Hugo Lloris at the other end. And things got worst when Griezmann sealed the victory with 18 minutes remaining after mistakes from Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer presented him with a simple finish.

Germany had beaten France en route to their World Cup success two years ago, but they will not secure a famous double as their 20-year wait for a continental crown goes on, with Portugal now awaiting Les Bleus in Sunday’s final at Stade de France.
